    Hi,

I have never experienced the feeling of being on a boat with Anxiety but understand balance issues can sometimes amongst other things be attributed to inner ear issues.

    Peace , 🙏

I Know exactly what you are going through. I dealt with it for over 3 years before i knew what was going on. On a boat, swaying, imbalance constant lightheadedness. Doctors immediately said it was an inner issue. Ive took every test out there pretty much. You need to seriously look into "Panic disorder". see a psychiatrist to prescribe you medication. I take clonazapam(Klonopin). If your symptoms seem to get worse when you are out and about than im certain that us what you have

Same with me, thought I had vertigo lol. But nope! And it always got worse when I was out places, especially if I was out and started getting that anxious/nervous feeling... suddenly I'd get sooo dizzy. And then as soon as I calmed down it'd go away.

    • omg I HATED that symptom of anxiety. Ughhh it lasted like 3 or 4 months for me... every day, at some point at least, I'd feel like the room was swaying, like I just got back from a cruise lol. It was sooo annoying. Thought I had vertigo, went to Dr and she said prob just stress.
    • After that I started to realize 1. it would come and go, it wasn't constant. And 2. it especially was less noticeable when I was distracted, and more noticeable when I was nervous/anxious. After I realized all that, I came to the conclusion it was just another anxiety symptom. And once I came to terms with that lol, it was less scary and then it slowly went away. I rarelyyyy feel like that anymore, occasionally when I'm anxious I start feeling dizzy again but once I calm down it's gone.

Oh, please come and join me, I could do with a friend like you...I am exactly the same, cant walk out on my own, feet feels like sponges. feel like I am going to topple over, and have to hold on to whoever is with me...head light, its no joke, I stopped going out in the daytime, as I thought people would think I was drunk...my balance was gone...and I certainly looked it...some days, are worse than others, then I might get a day where feel steady...I use these days to go shopping, for womens stuff...it has to be Anxiety, I had loads of tests done, but all is clear....it is very depressing, and scary though...I dont know what to do about it......xxx

Thank you Edward, for replying, I am using eye drops for high pressure in my eyes, so I have to be careful with meds, especially A/Dsas they can interact with my medication...but I will find out about this Klonopin.....x

    Hello,

Yes - can also confirm to the imbalance feeling when walking, this tends to accompany the head pressure / tension headache sensation - it seems that we can have trouble in just placing our feet. I thought I had vertigo - wrong it is some sort of side effect with anxiety / stress with me.

I also have a dreaded head rush / waves feeling which makes me feel like I am about to keel over. They don't last long just a occasional 'whoosh' (like being in a lift that suddenly drops) and leaves me thinking what on earth was that....?

Have had MRI seen Dr's / neuro, all came back clear

I have never experienced anything like this. Maybe you are stressed because of which you are able to have such feelings, if your doctor has advised you to walk then you should develop a habit of doing that.
