I feel like I can't breathe

Hello

I've posted a few times about my breathing but for a few days I feel like I can't exhale as such.

It's really scaring me as the dr said I have asthma yet I'm not sure if I do or if it's just part of my anxiety.

It's really taking it's toll and I haven't been at work because if it - I'm scared that something will happen if I'm not at home.

Could someone please advise me what I can do to try help my breathing? Also how will I know for sure if it's asthma or anxiety?

Thanks in advance.

I feel like my throat is closing up too.

I just want to cry but I know that won't help.

Honestly, crying always makes me feel better. I often feel like i can't "get all my breath out"

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like their breath won't come out. It's a horrible feeling.

    Has the sensation gone ?

Iv had this for 3 months ! Also a now and again feeling of my air been cut off I too have asthma but the inhaler does not help

After visiting the dr and having a few basic tests, I felt a lot better than when I originally went in.

I did experience every similar feelings last night but I tried not to convince myself it was asthma.

I still am worried that the same things will happen again and again but there really isn't anything I can do. - or not that I know of.

      I hope your ok?

Did the doctor test you for asthma? It's a breathing test, one with out an inhaler, then one with an inhaler. The results are compared, if improved with inhaler that's asthma diagnosed, then they are correct.....

I did do the peak flow test and my scoring wasn't as high as they had hoped - not sure if this is because I'm petite and don't have much lung capacity.

With and without the inhaler the tests were similar but this varies on a daily basis.

I am waiting for an appointment for physiotherapy but I don't know how this is linked to my breathing?
