Hey guys, I think I am a hypocondriac, I convience myself that I have something wrong with me although I don't know what it could be. I am having panic attacks almost everyday and always think that I am going to die with each one. I've had one this morning and now my body feels like it is shutting down. I feel weak, drained, my muscles are burning, I literally feel like my body is shutting down. My breathing is choppy. This is pure hell! This can't be anxiety!

Just know that every symptom your experiencing is caused from anxiety. Especially if your a hypochondriac, your body can make you see and feel the things you fear even when there is nothing there. I'm a huge hypochondriac, i used to go to the doctor at least once a week bc i was so convinced my doctors were misdiagnosing me and i was going to die from some underlying disease that i somehow got. Panic attacks can be very extreme, you can experience tingling and numbness through our body, muscle pain which is from muscle tension from you being so anxious, headaches, hardly being able to breathe, not being able to swallow, or feeling as if there's a lump in your throats at times and more. Please do not worry. Try and focus on breathing, and know that these symptoms are 100% anxiety. convince yourself that that is the only cause because it is. I completely understand what you're going through, keep breathing and keep pushing through, maybe seek a therapist to talk about feeling as well? Feel better!

I’m a mental health counselor. Anxiety and panic attacks can be debilitating.  1. Deep breathing techniques “when you’re not anxious” try these about 2 - 3x per day - about 10- -15 deep breaths.  Focus on the air going in and out.

    2. Progressives muscle relaxation. You can YouTube this exercise.  Start at your toes and tighten and hold for a count of 3 and release. Continue up to your head tightening muscles. This allows you to burn off the adrenaline that your body has produced.
