I feel really angry after stopping sertraline

I have been on sertraline for a few years. I had decided to up my dose to 200mg but i felt terrible when i did this.My depression gotworse. So i stopped it all together. That was two weeks ago. Now im constantly feeling angry and adgitated, especially in the evenings. I feel like ive got lots of built up anger. Its really bothering me.

Has anyone else had this?

    Ever since I got off mine I been told I'm mean and yes I get aggravated really quickly like I want to feel pain like fight

    Yes, definitely, but partly it is a withdrawal symptom. If you taper off slowly it goes more smoothly. You need a chance to get back to your normal self - it sometimes takes a few weeks as the drugs leave your system, and your brain adjusts to that.

    It's not surprising you are experiencing these symptoms. You have to taper off very slowly to allow your brain to cope with the withdrawal.

    Thanks for your replies. Bear74-thats exactly how i feel! I feel like being mean to people. Which is really horrible. I know i should have tappered but after the 200mg experiment i was so scared i just wanted to get off it asap.
