I feel worried about my anxiety

I have a constant fear of going out places that I think are not 'safe' and as a result of this I have not been out anywhere for weeks apart from my local area, it makes me feel physically sick and I constantly worry about falling ill and feel ill mostly every day. My anxiety has got increasingly worse after I had a viral infection about 3 months ago, but I have never been back to my normal self. Recently, I've been having pains and bad heads that affect concentration and makes me feel like I need to sleep to make it go away but it sometimes happens when I go to sleep and it makes me feel worried that I am falling ill or that it is not normal even though I have been to the doctors about it and its just my anxiety, the only time I do not feel ill is when I am sleeping . I feel like I am the only one experiencing this, am I?

Anxiety causes the body to breathe poorly. This causes all sorts of nasty physical feelings. The key is to control your breathing so that you dont hyperventilate. I use the 5, 2,9 idea, that is breathe in gently through the nose for count of 5, hold for count of 2, then breathe out through mouth for count 9 ( empty the lungs down to your stomach). I also smile whilst doing this to tell the brain that there is no danger. it takes time to master because the fear you have will be there until you gain confidence but persevere and you will at least feel better.

I would advise you have words with your GP, Make a double appointment and make a list of your fears and Anxiety.
Yes you have been to see Him before, it would be beneficial to get a course of treatment and medication.
You could try Breathing Techniques, breath in gently through your nose, purse your lips and breath out from your lungs to mouth when you feel jumpy
Also try Mindfulness Relaxation Technique befor you go out for a walk. Break up leaving the house in small bites and keep repeating each bite for example, open door, stand on doorstep go to the gate, walk along the road, get on bs etc and see how you get on

The doctor said she could put me on some medication but said she would have to see if it is appropriate for me and told me to get a therapist. I am only 17 and keep thinking that I am never going to get over feeling this way as I am starting to find it hard to go to school because of feeling ill or even thinking about it. I try relaxation apps at night to make me feel more at ease and it works but as soon as a new day comes I feel the same as the previous day. People are trying to help me get over this 'fear' but I know it will not just disappear.

Did the Doctor give you any names for a therapist you can attend with who would be suitable ?. Have you made an appointment ?
When will you see your Doctor, so you can start on medications ?
I do not know where you are living so I do not understand how your health Service works all I can advise is over Christmas you look for diversion therapies like hobbies or activities you enjoy. If you celebrate Christmas this will give you time to start to relax.and enjoy being with your supportive family
