I fractured my ankle 12 weeks ago and still can’t walk, please help!

I fractured my ankle 12 weeks ago and was in a cast for 1 week and then a walker boot for the rest of the time. I have only had 2 appointments at the hospital with the first doctor telling me to bring my other shoe to my 6 week appointment which i was excited about thinking i could walk out of that appointment on both feet, but basically that was major false hope.
On my 6 week appointment i was dismissed and i told to wean myself off of the boot and crutches, that was 6 weeks ago and i still have to wear the walker boot outside, but can manage around the house doing chores without the boot.
I was doing the exercises they had given me, and last week i possibly may of stretched it too much and with such a simple act, i have now regressed back into wearing the boot full time and its now my inner ankle that hurts a lot now and cant walk without pain.
I am gutted as i thought i could see an end goal and i am so sick of being stuck in the house, i have very little friends or family and no one comes to see me, the only company i have is my son so im getting really depressed.
I was made redundant 5 weeks before it happened, so i dont even have a job where i can interact with people and i cant find a new one whilst i cant walk or stand for very long.
Anyone in a similar situation with not being able to walk after so long?
Id love to hear about other peoples recovery times.

Had my annual physical recently. Shared my fear of breaking my ankle again. My Dr. sorta laughed (in a kind way) and said that will all the hardware I have in my ankle, it will not break. SMH. Ha.

at first I was in the air boot and I took very tiny steps more with the toe. then I got a little better at the walking. when I got tired I would hop on my Good Foot. and I'm now out of the air Boot and there is a small brace that's not and I'm now out of the air Boot and there is a small brace that's not really a brace but it's a support for my ankle then I wear with my sneakers in it seems to be easier to walk with that then the boot. sorry for the misspelling but I speak this and it doesn't always come out right

what ankle is broken because if it's you're left why can't you drive and get out a little? I started driving when I was confident with my walker. Slip the walker in your car from the driver's side wheels first to the passenger side. I'm 3 months , walking now with a limp but I am wasted at night. It tires me out and I have a nagging annoying pain. I started PT right after surgery and now I'm in outpatient PT.. I feel like I'm getting worse with the pain. It's like a vicious circle. I feel like i need more of a spa treatment for my foot instead of pushing it but I guess no pain , no gain. Very frustrating.

Hey there, well iv had a bit of progress since my last post and im out of the walker boot which was instructed by my PT, im having some really good days and then some days i feel as though iv lost weeks of progress so its still really frustrating. my PR told me to go back to the gym which has been excellent but i feel as though i may of some how pulled a muscle/ligament as i get a sharp pain on the inner part of my foot now. At the weekend i couldnt walk because of it but then today has been fine. But its been up and down like that for a few weeks now, i guess the main thing is that i shouldnt force or push the situation as its a long healing process. I dont drive but was doing my lessons when it happened and its my right ankle so all the lessons i feel was a bit of a waste as i feel i will of probably forgotten so much as iv not had one for 3 months now, but hey ho thats life i guess. Dont let your PT push you too much and listen to your own body, i think spa treatment sounds like a wonderful idea to get the muscles loosened up!
