Ask to have your Vitamin B12 and Folate levels checked as a deficiency in B12 can be misdignosed as CFS

And what is he doing about it Richard? Has he prescribed tablets or injections?

Do you have any idea why you are low on B12?

The only way to obtain B12 naturally is by eating animal products such as meat, fish, seafood, eggs, poultry, and dairy produce such as cheese and milk etc..

To process the B12 you need Folate and that means to eat plenty of leafy green vegetables, sprouts, broccoli. asparagus, basil, beans etc.(although some breakfast cereals are now fortified with folic acid).

So could your diet be the cause?

There are many other reasons why you may be B12 Deficient including having had gastric surgery, are on medications that affect absorption, etc etc but I guess your doctor will be aware of your medical history.

      I wish you well.

I eat a very healthy diet. He has given me vitamin d and folic acid tablets. I also had a celiac test done which I was hoping would b positive so I could just change my diet but it seems not.

Has your doctor not prescribed you with Vitamin B12 in addition to your D and Folic Acid?

If he hasn't this worries me as it is not good to be taking folic acid without raising your already low B12.

If you have been precribed B12 please take it a day or so before the folic acid

There are no tests as such for ME. The only thing they can really do is to rule out other diseases.

When I had my referral the ME specialist asked me questions and diagnosed me from my answers.

    Hope that's helpful.
