I got a colon problem for a month

Hi,

I'm 22 years old male and have been experiencing colon problem in the last one month. My bowel habit has changed. My stool is sometimes watery, pencil thin and sometimes normal. I am also experiencing lower right abdominal pain which come and go but not very often. I'm experiencing back pain and headache currently.

I went to doctor twice and he said nothing serious, and it was only anxiety. I also had ultrasound which showed nothing. Really appreciate to know what you guys think about it. I'm kinda anxious about this

    Hi all,

Thanks for all of ur kind words and information. I just had the colonoscopy done this morning and thanks God nothing serious was found.

I diagnosed with Internal Hemmoroids grade 2 which caused my stool shaped thin and also a collitis which showed by inflammated bowel. Biopsy was taken to see the growing infection on my Bowel.

For me the preparation of colonoscopy is just terrible because the liquid they gave to me made me went to toilet like almost 20 times yesterday, the procedure itself was just fine. Once again thanks everyone for ur information and kind words

I hope that the results of the inflammed area biopsy are favorable too. My elderly mother had one bout of ischemic colitis which was serious enough to land her in the hospital (because she ignored symptoms), but it never occurred again. I have a chronic inflammatory bowel disease as did my late father-in-law and a nephew and these are treatable! I was just a little older than you when I was diagnosed and am now 62. Just so you know - there's a difference between an inflammation in the bowel and an infection. Be sure that you get your doctor to clarify whether you have an infection or an inflammation (or both). Some tests you had done before the colonoscopy may have been for an infection in the bowel caused by overgrowth of so-called bad bacteria that normally live in the bowel. I don't know anything about inflammation of the bowel that results from infection, but the biopsy results should clear things up.

      Hoping all is good.

      Hi rhonda,

I'm currently taking Salofalk for the collitis and Venosmil for the hemmoroids. Doctor suggested me to minimise consumption of spicy and sour foods for a while (I am living in Indonesia and the foods here are many in seasonings).

Thank you and I hope all is well also to you smile

      Hi Linda,

The biopsy result will come next week on Friday, I hope there will be nothing serious there. I am currently still experiencing the thin stool which doctor said due to the hemmoroids internal.

Hope all is well also to you smile
