Today makes 10 days that I got my dermoid cyst removed and I had sex with my husband I'm a bit worried because the doctor said I had to wait six weeks before I have intercouse but things got heated between us during 4 play sorry for the t.m.i and I gave in. Has anyone had sex after removal before (earlier then told ) and if so was everything ok after??

    Hi Tiffany,

I recently had a large Dermoid Removed along with the Ovary.Docs didn't say anything to me about secular activity (probably assumed that I wouldn't fancy it anyway, lol)

Anyway myself and my husband did end up having some sexual healing wink around day 11-12 post Op.Looking back I'm amazed I felt up to it as I was in a bad way and so bruised.

I was absolutely fine and as long as your husband wasn't jumping up and down on your incisions and it was comfortable for you at the time and after then I'm sure you'll be fine.Sometimes it's a good thing, releasing all those feel good hormones smile

Thanks a bunch hun for your reply and yea he took it easy I'm just going through a little cramping but other then that I feel fine I hope I wake up fine lol 😉, I also got a pretty large dermoid cyst removed but he saved the ovary, and as for recovery I actually feel good just a bit of bruising as well and soar in my belly button other then that I'm up and at it 🤗.

That's good to hear but don't over do it because you're feeling ok.It took me a good 3 weeks to feel almost better.I did have pains when my bladder was full and my belly button incisions took a while to feel comfortable.

I'm at 6 weeks post Op today and got the all clear and signed off from my Consultant last week.

Best of luck to you on your recovery smile
