i had a turp prosedure 4 months ago

all went well until two months afterward the procedure when i started getting an infection, my right testis swelled up and after intercourse i now have a very weak stream

i am back on silodyx8mg augmentin 1000mg twice a day and cortisone

i am going to phsio as someone suggested that my muscles are in spasm

really not feeling great.

has anyone had a similar experience and if so how did you overcome it

i am 52 years old and now my sex life is non existent

    Sometime that happens.  At 52 why do you have a turp done.  Did you look into anything else or was that the only thing your doctor offered.  Did your doctor tell you sometime the first one does not work and they have to go in and do another to fix the problem from the first one.  What done is done  I ho you get better soon.  Ken

      in South Africa they dont offer anything else.

      have you had this happen to you?if so how does it get treated

      Sorry for you my friend.  Here in the USA they offer many procedures to fix PBH.  I had a urolift done which pulls apart the prostate and you can pee better. No cutting and no side effects. You may have to have another one done to fix the proplem.  What your going through is another side effect  You may have to have another one to fix the problem.   I hope you get better  Ken

    I think the PAE procedure would have been your best choice.

    I look at it this way BPH enlarge prostate

    Going in and removing tissue from the inter part of the prostate, your are still going to have BHP

    The PAE procedure shrinks the entire prostate

    Eliminating the urge to pee better flow PSA

    Number drop..
