I had DDH as a baby. I don't know if I recieved full treatment for this but I don't feel right physically . I have a scar in the middle of my back that I don't know how it got there and causes me great pain on my spine. I also get hip ache and knee/ leg ache. I have also noticed the my hips don't feel like they are right. I get back and neck pain every day and I was wondering what I could do and if having DDH as a baby is related to these problems

Where were you treated, and by whom.

Can you get a referral back to the same hospital, or at least get a copy of your medical files.

I believe you have every right under freedom of information to what is on those files.

They will then be able to follow you up, and have your old records available to see for themselves what was done orginally.

Do you have a regular GP who you can talk too, ask questions, he may not be able to answer them all, but what do they say knowledge is power.

I would definitely follow up with what Lyn1951 has suggested to do.  You will have a we call here a unique Patient number that follows you for life.   Ask under the Official Information Act for a complete file on your medical history, starting with the Hospital where you were born.  YES KNOWLEDGE is POWER and your initial medical history will tell you probably all you need to know going forward.. All the very best and I so hope you get your answers in the NEW YEAR...

May it be a Very Positive New Year for you and yours....  take care, and keep your chin up.  Hugs
