I had my first ESWT for plantar fasciitis today! Did it work for you?

Hi guys. I was diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis 2 years ago. Ice therapy, physical therapy, stretches, and orthotic shoes really helped me recover the severe pain I had but it is still there. It comes and go. It depends on what activity I am doing..... The pain flares up when I run and stand for long hours! I am a Nurse so it is going to be a very big challenge for me.
I had my first ESWT today and I just feel happy. I hope this works! I was wondering for those people who also did ESWT, did this eliminate your pain completely?

Just curious...How did your ESWT treatments go? How many treatments did you have?
I'd love to hear!

I had 3 treatments in total and I am SO happy I did it.
I am feeling stronger now. I can walk longer period of time than before. I have less pain and I feel so energized. I also have less stiff in the morning. It is great! :D I will go again around July and want to do my 4th treatment.
After my 1st treatment of ESWT, I felt like there were no changes. I felt like it wasn't working..... But I gave it a chance again and went for my 2nd treatment. After my 2nd treatment, that's when I saw a huge difference! It was working....=) Getting stronger.
I feel SO happy.

EPAT (Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Technology)--sometimes referred to as ESWT or Shockwave Therapy is a non-invasive approach to treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain. No anesthesia is used, there's no downtime, no risk of infection, and no scarring. Treatment is usually 3-5 times, once per week. Each treatment takes only about 5-10 minutes.
Depending on your condition, you might experience some minor discomfort --especially when the doctor treats in and around the most painful point.
The way it works is that the acoustic pressure waves are actually bringing blood to the damaged area to help it heal.
It's had great results--I hope you'll reach out to your doctor to find out more about it.
Good luck!
