The chinese herbs are called Vine Essence Pill. It clears it up alright but then if you go off the pill is get saggressively worse. So I finally stopped taking it and it has taken over a month for it to clear back up to a manageable level.

Betty... did you get allergy tested? I've had 15 years now and I think I found the root cause. I was allergy tested and it came back I'm allergic to soy and peanuts ( soy seems to be in eveything ) I've been watching my soy intake (not completely because it seems impossible) and I already notice it's fading. I believe it's due to either food intolerence or chemicals and on the food or hormonal as it went away completely during both of my pregnancies. I'm going to try to get a hair intolerence test to see if there is anything else I'm allergic too. Don't give up hope smile i'm 30 and have it all over except hands and face but I refuse to let it get the best of me or give up on searching for a cure. Have you tried Apple Cider vinegar (with the mother) I heard that works on hands.

I was diagnosed by biopsy.  The only tretment I will take would be natural.  The only thing I ever heard that worked was Chinese herbs, but no one seemed to know what they were.   So thank you.  I also read on dermatologist prescribed niacinamide 500 mg 3 x a day and his patient was cured in six months so I am trying it.  I will be looking for a source for the Vine eSSENCE.

One thing I did notice, I try to get a little sun every day for vitamin d, and I rolled up my pant leg, within less than five minutes my GA was a bright raised purple.  I know I am very photosensative,so I won't expose it to sunlight any further.  (I thought sun might be good for it I was wrong)

Another thing I have been trying is olive leaf.  I heard it is used in Eurpope to kill viruses.  I feel my GA was caused by the shingle virus and mabe if I can kill off any remaining shingle virus my GA will go away

I know how you feel, I have it everywhere now except my face and neck...

it burns and itches like crazy for a while then it stops burning and itching.

I'm afraid to look at my legs every morning cause I have new spots forming..

I'm about to go crazy...nothing has worked...I don't know what has caused

it to become so severe...I sent away a hair sample to be tested but haven't

heard back yet from them. I read about that Vine essence on the internet,

and it didn't sound too safe to use..it seems any creams or lotions or anything

that I put on make it more angrier and redder, so I just quit doing that..I'm

just miserable ...winter's coming..hopefully the cold weather will slow it

    down some...

Hope you have heard by now and find the relief and improvement that I did.. The GA did not go away quickly. The first thing I noticed after eliminating all the foods on my intolerance list is that I quit breaking out with new spots. In a few weeks I could see that some were fading. Now, after having them on hands, arms, legs & feet & some on torso, I have just a bit on my feet. If you look hard, you can see a trace of color where some of the worst ones were.

As I change my diet now, I am watching carefully to see if there are any changes in my skin.

      Good luck!

      Patty

I have been using tea tree oil for about a month, though not consistently. Maybe 3-4 times a week, once a day. My GA has faded at least 50% so I am thinking finally I have found something that works. I have tried the apple cider vinegar, no results.

A friend sent me some Therapeutic skin cream which I started using topically Fri. the 25th Sept.   It is made with Active Manuka honey 20+ (10%) in an aqueous base.  I am amazed at the result so far.  I did read in the past that it is not necessary to use expensive Manuka honey from NZ or AU but to use any natural, unprocessed honey from your local area.
