Long story short - I wish I had.  Things only started in the right direction after the GP wrote a letter to get it properly sorted after a 'comedy of errors' at my expense... I would ask your GP or go to A&E and force the issue...  I have to admit, I am pretty exhausted feeling as though I've had to 'fight' for such a long time to get it moving in the right direction.  I also bring along hubby as extra support so if you have someone too.....

PS - if you are not going anything more than pus and blood... go right to A&E... (just mentioned your post to Hubby and he said go too - as that is when he said that I should have done that sooner too!!!) I was bunged up too...

Certainly try and have it brought forward. Your symptoms are classic with UC. Maybe ask GP for anti inflammatory drugs?
