I have 5.55 mm stone in my kidney. found through scan after severe pain. So how can I remove without operation. Initially it was paining in my riht side of abdomen now pain has been shifted to left side of abdomein. currently i am having "Tamsulosin" tablet for removal as per doctor suggestion. and using Ninja-Sr for pain removal and its been already a week. If i don't use the Ninja-sr there will be still severe pain.

Waiting suggesstions for the best removal process.

I'm not a medical professional by any means so take this for what it's worth Do to the size of your stone it is unlikely to pass without medical intervention, in the US doctors have there patients take Flomax to make passing the stone a little easier. I do think do to the size of your stone it will not pass on it's own unless by chance alone it happens to break apart

If the stone is to pass without an operation, it will need to travel out of your body via the natural path. You will experience some pain and/or burning sensation as the stone moves down. This can be reduced by drinking plenty of water and taking painkillers.

If the stone does not pass and the pain becomes too severe, your doctor will advise you what can be offered ranging from lythotripsy to an operation to retrievve the stone.

If the pain does become severe, seek medical attention quickly so that you do not sustain damage to your kidneys or urinary tract.

This situation may last for a number of weeks before you can tell if the stone is going to pass on its own.

    Good luck.

    Hi.....

Your stone is just on the cusp of being able to pass naturally.

They normally say up to 7mm and more often than not they can pass naturally.

This may take some time and cause considerble pain but keep on top of your pain meds and drink as much as you can tolerate.

As sheffnet has already advised if the pain becomes to severe its time to get to the gp or a&e as yopu dont want to damage your kidney.

Hopefully with plenty of fluid you will pass this stone..

    Good luck..

Hello, sorry to hear of your predicament. The one urologist I had told me something of value--when pain gets bad jump around or lay down and put your legs up, the stone moves. it works as I have had many
