Please help, im not sure if i have herpes or not but i have blisters around my anus, they hurt but never itch, at the same time around i noticed them, i got acute pharyngitis and diarrhea, could this be simply because of the bacterial infection? Blood results wont come out till monday, any information to help calm my mind will help, thanks!

Hard to say, and the blood test won't reveal anything if this is a new infection. The doctor should have swabbed the lesions directly. If you still have them and they have yet to heal, go back and request a type-specific herpes swab test.

Hi....keep in mind herpes is very itchy red bumbs.....and forms into blisters which then the wound of the blisters would open up and cause severe pain to where you end up limping.  And it will just continue to spread.  If you are not at that stage...you might be looking at something else?  Make sure you call in on Monday to get your result...sometimes a Doctor office needs a little push, which will just show how concerned you are.  In the meantime......if you were not given any medication......a few things you can do on your own is to let your anus breath....blisters needs air to dry.  Avoid wearing any underwear if you are just in your own home.  Blow dry the area with a blow dryer from far...warm air of course.  And when you sleep or lay down......turn to the side and place a pillow in-between your knees to prop yourself that wear your anus can get air on your blisters....stay away from fragrance body products around the blisters.   Sit in a warm-hot bath like water....with some epsom fragrance free salt....about 1-2 cup which will help sooth and dry the blisters.  Use a separate towel to pat your blisters or just blow dry. Make sure to not share your towels....put it to wash or for laundry right away...never re-use for next day unless you wash it.  Everything needs to be clean at this point.  Good-luck.

Herpes does not always cause many bumps that spread and cause pain to the point of being unable to walk. Often times, a first outbreak of herpes may only be a handful of lesions (not necessarily bumps) of varying pain. Mine have only ever hurt to touch, and only slightly at that, just as an example.

Because I'm single and don't need to worry about transmission, only multivitamins and fish oils for general health. During my first outbreak, not even that, and I only started valacyclovir when everything was already healing.

They havent found out anything about it, the least they did was have me undergo an HIV test. Update on my anus, it hurts like hell when i poop or touch it and when i checked there were sores around the inside of my anus, it hasnt spread anywhere else tho, i just fear everytime i poop, it's excruciating, im also taking antibiotics for my fever and acute pharyngitis, we're going to look for another doctor about this

Can i ask how one acquires herpes? I've done some research myself but it's never clear

It's very clear. Genital herpes is nearly always acquired via oral sex (Type 1) or intercourse (Type 2). Keep your stools soft to minimise friction when going toilet. Try prunes or a bit of oil, etc., but take care not to overdo it!
