i have a very red patch on the skin of the back of my arm with a red bump in the middle. It doesn't itch but is a bit hot to the touch and hurts when I touch it and burns a bit. I've had the bump for 2 years, but it never hurt or was inflamed before now. It began 4 days ago and has gotten bigger and more red since. I'm 25, male and don't take any medication.

Whatever it is , it has become very infected so do see a doctor. It may be a hair that has grown inwards or even a fatty lump or a cyst but you do need to see a professional.

I agree that you need to see a doctor urgently, whatever that lump is, it is starting an inflammatory process.
It can sometimes happen that a small ingrown hair, blackhead, cyst, or insect sting will become very inflamed, and in those cases you need to treat it in the proper way.
