I have this sore area on the left of my waist. It is itchy and feels like it has been burned. Has anyone any idea what could be wrong?

See a doctor, it could be shingles or something that effects nerves.

Under the present circumstances I cannot see a doctor but I will telephone tomorrow to seek advice. I have had shingles twice before and it doesn't feel the same. There is no rash and the skin isn't red at all.

It does sound like shingles. Your comment about Itchy and burning fits shingles exactly.

I didn't know you could have shingles that many times. As a boy I got chicken pocks. When I was 50 I got shingles.
I wanted to get the vaccine but was told don't need it since I had gotten it.
By the way I was on pretisone when I got shingles, it must have knocked down my immune system bad.
Itchy, burns, no redness. odd thought everything turns red.
