I have had peritonsillar abscess last year and they had to use a syringe to take the pus out because it was bad.

I have been admitted to the hospital to stay over night I think it was two or three times that happen because they were concern about me breathing because my tonsils were really swollen and they did prescribed me antiobotics and steroid for the drugs.

Than recently a couple months ago my throat once again was swollen it had white stuff over it and they basically just said it was a minor sore throat.

I have told them my concerns before they just shrugged it off and just say I have abnormally large tonsils.

I know I have tonsils stones I always removed it with cotton swabs

I do have a good oral hygeiene now i always brush my teeth at least three times a day and use mouth wash and my teeth my crown had came off but my insurance wont replace it so yea and RECENTLY I noticed I have this little bump or lump behind my tonsils anyways im scared I REALLY have something serious my tonsils always get worse they have never gone down should I go to the doctors again and get check up to be safe and can yall tell me what you think I HAVE sorry for the long paragraph thanks.

    Hey there,

I've had what I thought was a sore throat for 3 weeks now. Doctors said it was tonsillitis at first but went to hospital the other day now they think its glandular fever. I know the feeling, its super worrying. I would say keep pestering the doctors. I've seen about 4 and no offense to them, they don't know anything! I'm still needing blood tests and all.

Go to the doctors, gargle medium/hot water with salt at least 2 times a day. Get lots of rest and drink as much as you can. Not sure what else I can advise. Try not to make yourself worry, cause then you'll get stressed and stress affects us too!

Maybe you're on the wrong medicine, antibiotics haven't even worked for me. Get yourself to the doctor asap! And if you feel you cant wait, get yourself down to the hospital and demand you get sorted out!
