i have an ovarian cyst and I'm worried it would be cancerous

My ultrasound showed a 7x7cm cyst during ultrasound my doctor said he's not worried but he will need further tests; I did CA 125 which was slightly elevated 48, CA 15-3 was 28 and ESR was 60. I'm so stressed now. Any advice?

Thanks,

D

Hi, sorry you find yourself worrying. It is horrible the waiting and wondering. It's good your doctor is doing tests he seems to just want to be on the side of caution. Also not knowing how old you are, but with woman over the age of 50 I think they like to just ensure that all is well. Do you know what further tests they will do?

I had a ultrasound Monday and they found a cyst and fluid still a bit confused to what that means, doctor was happy to wait and see if my initial symptoms return. I am due on my period next week and am getting pain again so have a appointment to see the doctor Friday, will try ask questions about the cyst as don't know it's type or how big it is. The doctor said about having about her scan to see if it's gone and referral to a gynocologist to look into it further. Any way I just wanted to pop on and reply, hope you get some answers to settle your worry soon x

Thanks Kirstynic, I'm not over 50 I'm 38. And the tests where all done during my prof. When I read about it it seems mensturation elevates the levels of CA 125. I try to calm my self down.
