I have an update and it's GOOD NEWS finally

Hello Ladies, well I first joined the group after I had my UFE September 16, 2016. In October I had a cycle which was pretty painful but light. At my 4th week check up I complained of vaginal dryness and felt horrible ! No libido . Had my hormones checked in December and the doc said your hormones are down and seems like menopause and your done having
Children😳. Oh forgot to add my hair started falling out mostly on the right side oddly where the radiogist said most of my fibroids were. But my doc said there is no way it's from the surgery 🙄.
Well my doc wanted to start me on hormone treatment but I didn't feel comfortable . Well the month of February my period returned light but heavy cramping . I had another hormone test and ultrasound (new doc) and my numbers were back up and doc said I'm
Not even menopause and barley perimenopuse 😳. I have had a cycle since February march was heavy and April was light just a very thin pad . I still have vaginal dryness but it's fine once I get started with hubby 😛 My libido came back as well.
Received my ultrasound results second week of April and no signs of ANY fibroids on the right side before I had about 11 small ones . My huge one that is over my bladder was 9.5 cm is now 7.1 cm and my uterus was 14 is now 10 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. So what I thought wasn't a sucess turned out I was wrong and neeed to be patient . Also my hair has stopped falling out as well. Sorry so long but just wanted to update everyone that had to read my complaints on here for a few months lol.

Hi Pam, great news, I'm happy for you! I too had ufe recently (February) and had a few problems afterwards but I'm now doing a lot better. My periods are very light now compared to what they were before and my tummy is a lot flatter. I haven't had my post-op MRI yet, so I don't know how much my fibroids have shrunk, but I feel so much better!
Take good care of yourself xx

I never had a MRI which is weird after coming here reading how much information people knew about their fibroids. I was just told I had about 11 on the right and huge one on my bladder and maybe 1 on the left side but in a spot where it wouldn't give me problems.
Now to the flat tummy thing that hasn't Happened much and I still get bloated 🤔. Now I did lose my hips and I now have to wear a belt which I haven't worn since I was a teen I'm 45.

I was back to work after two weeks, but I don't have a hard job Mostly sitting. I think three weeks would have been more likely if I had a job that I had to be on my feet all day.
I didn't feel like myself until November my hormones had plummeted like I said but to be honest by the time they checked and told me I was feeling better. My main concern at that time was not having a cycle which is all back now.

I'm so interested and pleased to hear this positive result for UFE! I'm due to have mine in three weeks after a big struggle to get it. I've met with resistance all the way...starting with my GP and the gynaecologists I was eventually referred to who only offered a hysterectomy. They never mentioned UFE and when I did, they did their very best to dissuade me. I have two intramural fibroids, the largest measuring a whopping 15cm. I can't wait to shrink these buggers..they are making my life a misery!
