why don’t you want to go to the doctor? Also, Xanax is not meant to be a long-term medication. There is a potential for addiction. You might want to discuss other medication options with your doctor. If you’re afraid of leaving your house, you can do a virtual doctor appointment at home.

if youve been consistently using Xanax over the course of 7 months, then you’re going to have to taper off of it instead of going cold turkey. you might get withdrawal symptoms if not.

if you ran out, contact your doctor..dangerous to just stop them, you must either decide with them to continue on the med or do a slow taper.

Hello @jessica19995 there are no official anxiety medications that you can take without prescription. So you will have to visit the doctor to get a prescription for anxiety medicine.

It's weird you don't want to go back to your Dr! You have been using a benzodiazepine for some time now and they're only meant for severe case and not as a long term medication.

I've read some terrible accounts of people who have become addicted to them and the the effort and agony they went through to get out of them. I've used Valium 3 times when I was severely fearful once, and took Temazepam for a week at some point.

But I've been on anti depressants for a very long time.

And warning: do not stop it all of a sudden, the withdrawals are horrible, follow your Dr's advice
