DO NOT THINK LIKE THAT ! You will be okay , I just found out less than a week ago ! You will make it through the storm , I haven’t had any symptoms neither . The devil is trying to get inside your mind ! You still live a a normal life and enjoy life ❤️ This is not the end of your world and it’s not your fault that you have the virus !

Please confirm how this diagnosis was made, with test result details. Without symptoms, I can only assume the diagnosis was made by blood test, but the blood tests for herpes vary greatly in terms of accuracy depending on the type of blood test, how you scored and other factors.

Is it genital herpes or oral herpes? It's not the end of the world.  It's almost silly to think of ending your life cause of a this. I thought it's the end of my life as well when I first found out, more because of how friends would look at me, how my family would be disappointed if they find out. And I kept thinking how free and healthy I was before this. For me, the harder part is i could infect others, and most people would be afraid of that. That's the harder part compared to having the virus itself. I guess you are the same as well because you said you have no symptoms so I assume you haven't had any outbreaks. It's a virus that can be managed with medicine. it's just like how people get fever from time to time.

You can't be serious!!!! People are fighting for their lives for serious diseases. You need to educate yourself. You will be ok.

You want to end your life over something that 1 in 5 people have? A little dramatic don't you think? Did you get blood tests, or swabbed? How was you diagnosed?

It's definitely not the end of the world especially you being one of the lucky ones with no symptoms . Lots of ppl still date get married and have children. You will be ok!

I would still post your exact test types and results here. Doctors order the wrong test for herpes all the time, namely the one prone to false positives. Most are worryingly not up to speed when it comes to herpes.

Isn't having herpes hard enough? I am not trying to be mean but what is the point of posting her test results? She has already been confirmed by a Dr that she is infected. I am sorry but I don't see the point.

I think they just mean the test results aren't always accurate and people get false positives even from doctors. Felizcastus seems to be very educated on the subject from what I see on here they're simply trying to help :-)

If she has never had an outbreak and got diagnosed only by blood test, that is a huge red flag. Many doctors order the wrong test for herpes which has a high false positive rate. It is absolutely necessary to determine the test type and results, especially in the absence of any symptoms. I wouldn't have suggested it if it were pointless.
