i have been addicted to co-proxamol for 7 years taking 8 a day. with a lot of help from a gp friend i am now taking just 1. what worries me is am i now going to become addicted to dihydrocodeine.

    WOW! thats great that you have cut down to 1 a day. I was prescribed Co-proxomol after a car accident 7 years ago and have been addicted ever since.

    If I run out I start searching the house for them just in case there may be one left around Thats Bad!

    I Have even told my gp, but if i put in a repeat prescription he continues to prescribe them.

    How can I cut down the way you have, you have done really well you should be proud.

    If you got yourself addicted to Co-proxomol, then you're even more likely to become addicted to dihydrocodeine. It's a stronger pain-killer and the downside is that it is more addictive.
