I bled on and off for at least a month after my myomectomy . It is perfectly normal. After my 3 month check up I was put on a type of pill as my periods weren’t regular and have been much better since.

I bled for like 6-8 weeks after my hysteroscopic myomectomy and heard that it is very common. Fibroids are full of blood vessels and so is the uterine wall. So any cutting up will no doubt impact the duration of the bleeding. Dont worry, you will slow down in a few days (if you are very lucky) or a few weeks (if you are like me)

I had my Myomectomy 8 weeks ago. I have basically bled every day some light but then heavy again. I started the pill third day after op & I’m skipping sugar pills. Is this similar to you? I’m bleeding heavily again with clots & I can’t find anything in internet that talks about continual or extended bleeding. I think this is not supposed to happen & it’s worrying not understanding why I’m bleeding & the cause

No I didn’t go through that. My period was on during my surgery so of course I was bleeding for days after but it stopped once my period stopped. I have heard spot bleeding is normal days after surgery but 12 days does seem like a long time.

    Hi,

I see that your message is from two years ago, but I am wondering how long it took till you stopped bleeding after the myomectomy. I had Histeroscopic Myomectomy four weeks ago and also have bleeding when i walk more and urinate tuding the day. I am only seeing the doctor in two weeks and when i call to ask for an earlier appointment the secretary tells me that its completely normal and i should not worry about it. Thank you so much for your help! 😃
