I have been depressed

I contracted HSV2 3 years ago from my ex bf. He didn't tell me about it. After I broke up with him his ex girlfriend got in contact with me and asked me if I was having any symptoms because she had tested positive for the disease. I didn't show any symptoms of having it until a year after it happened. I have been scared to go out of my own home because people stare at me and whisper when I walk by. My doctor said that I haven't tested positive for this disease yet, but I have been having all of the symptoms for years now. I get sores that turn into dark scares on my arms and on my chest. I have tried several things to try to make the dark scares go away but they haven't lightened not even a little. Does any one have any advise on how to get my confidence back . Or how I can get these dark scares to go away so that I won't be so self conscious? Also how do you go about getting into another relationship after this has happened to you? Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

If you have had the IgG antibody test for herpes done several times and it's been always negative to date, then it's highly unlikely you have herpes. Which test did your doctor do and how long after exposure?

She did the test for 1 and 2. The 1 virus has been showing up since I was a child. I have been having symptoms of the 2 virus for years now. I got tested a week after him and I got together then 1 year to date and she still showed that it was showing up negative. Sores on my thighs were coming up and all she did was give me antibiotics and told me that there was nothing she could do since the test came up negative. I showed her the dark scars and she referred me to a dermatologist and they only said that my insurance wouldn't pay for me so they didn't give me any options. I haven't had sex since then because I have been having so many symptoms all of this time . I'm not sure what else that I can do
