Hi all . I have been depressed for a year now after i have given birth to my son .

I ve been taking sertraline 10 months now . I started on 50mg and the last 4 months I ‘ve been taking 150mg which I thought it was the right dose for me.

Lately I have some really bad days , and I m scared to death that I m going back to where my depression started.

I have this terrible feeling that I will never be back to my self again , I feel hopeless .

Do you people have still bad days while you taking the meds? How do you cope ?

Please any advice or any positive story will be much appreciated .

So sorry that you are still suffering. I wondered if you increased gradually cos it's quite a jump from 50mg to 150mg. Have you been back to see your doctor.

Hi Kakia, sorry that you feel so bad. I have been on this med for almost 4 months so its still early for me, but yes I still have bad days but not as bad as the time before zoloft. When I do have the bad days its usually because of high stress. I would think being a mother with a small child would indeed cause stress. I remember with my child I would worry about everything. So go easy on yourself. I would consider talking to your doctor and see if the dose is right for you. Hang in there, we are all here for you.😇

Hi, it sounds to me like you might want to try a different antidepressant. If you aren’t better at 150 than you were at 50 then I don’t think going to a higher dose would help. I would try asking your doctor about trying something else? Not every med works for everyone. Good luck to you!!
