I am a healthy 16-year old male who has been dizzy and lightheaded/ brain fog for more than a week. However, when I go for a run, these symptoms disappear. Following being lightheaded for so long, I googled my symptoms and now am very anxious about having brain cancer. Could someone please help me 😦 😦 😦 😦

Hi, I've been there, had Health anxiety since I was 18, everything I've gone through teaches me 1 thing, Google doesn't help so stay away. Go to doctor, get a check, if they say its good, be confident and embrace that. Google has lead to my anxiety becoming so bad, even a doctor telling me he is 97-98% sure what I am currently going through is nothing, that those 2-3% along with google means I am focused on the negative rather than the logical and likely outcome the doctor provided....so Google Bad....Doctor assessment and diagnosis good, and stay like this, never google, if you feel something and it worries you, see a doctor, if they say nothing to worry about, move forward with positive energy and confidence

i’m sorry you are going through this. You are jumping to a diagnosis that is highly unlikely. Google gives worst case scenario. Dizziness is one of the most common symptoms that people get. It can be caused by many non-serious things. The most common reason for dizziness is stress and anxiety which probably almost 100% of people on this site get. I have had dizziness on and off for over 30 years due to anxiety. There are other reasons such as low blood pressure, Low blood count, , certain medication’s, ear infections, allergies, and on and on. All of these can be treated. But anxiety remains the number one reason.
if A person had brain cancer, they would have other symptoms.
when your symptoms disappear after you go for a run most likely means that you are getting rid of the adrenaline that is causing the lightheadedness. That makes perfect sense.
You may have an underlying anxiety which causes the release of adrenaline which can cause dizziness and lightheadedness among other symptoms. So exercise is a good thing for you to do. You wouldn’t even be able to run if you had brain cancer.
Please remember that dizziness is a very common thing that people get. Relax, you’re going to be OK. If you have severe anxiety, consider speaking with a counselor who can help you manage it.
Take care
