I too have suffered from myocarditis for 6 years, initially I spent three weeks in hospital and was very ill although the doctors could not initially find the cause. I was then put on bblockers and it took me two years to really get out and about again. I still suffer from chest pains and arrythmias despite the fact my echo is normal.

I suffered from heart attack symptoms as a result of myocarditis last week on my 19th birthday. It shocks me on how this can target all sorts of age groups so easily. It left my heart in a diminished state and the doctor told me it could take 6 months or longer to recover. These experiances totaly shock me as this virus is new to me. I know little about it and doctors seem to talk in circles whenever I have questions on treatment and causes. This is definatly a life changing experience for me and I hope you all recover and live in good health. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I am 20 year old and I know your not doctors but any information is good. I had this acute myocarditis about a year ago and after a couple of month the hospital said its totally gone and you are back to normal just like anyone else. It just left a little tiny bit of scarring will this effect me at all or not just seem to not find any information about anyone who's been through simular to me
