Just starting to come off, from 50. Day five of 37.5. Sure hope I will feel normal soon. Wish I never took it. How long were you on it?

Just four months. Didn't get any relief from anxiety which led to depression. Mine got very bad from menopause as well. Unable to sleep, then anxiety then depression. Trying to talk my Dr into giving me hormones back, but she is not keen. Because of the risk of stroke etc. I am about ready to take that risk. Used to be very active but my life has changed so much from panic and anxiety.

Aaarrrrr bless you it's horrible menopause , who would be a women. I've went on HRT for 4days but it made me feel worse ,but that was when I was taking sertaline , I don't think HRT and sertaline go together . But everyone is diffrent . My life has change too , but I look around at all the women that are older than me and I think they look happy . So I think it will get better . Wishing you all the luck .x

I was on HRT for five years, but Dr felt time to come off. The insomnia is bad, but I am having that on Sertraline anyway. Only three hours last night🙄. I am feeling low today😥

Oh dear you poor thing , was you feeling ok on them. ? And the doc put you on sertaline instead for the depression and anxiety or because you had been on them for 5 years.? I take sleep aid from Lloyds chemist that helps me , I get a good 8hrs sleep , but last night I woke at 3-30 full of anxiety , so I've just had a nap .im having a bad day too . How old are you if you don't mind me asking . I'm 57 and started going through menopause at 52 that's when I was put on sertaline, cuz of my anxiety. Has sertaline had no effect at all ?

I am 60 years young! It is not a good idea to stay on HRt, risk of breast cancer and stroke increases. The Sertraline ride has not been good, and I want off them. I'm in Canada so no over the counter sleep aids. Have been taking Valium at night, but now I think my body has gotten used to it and no longer works. Don't want to increase dose,

You should be about at the end of the menopause hopefully . You no when you are off the sertaline completely you might find it's a lot easier, because when I first came off it I had a lot of hot sweats but the past week  I've not had many . I think it's about out of my system 🤞🏻, I'm on day 23 , hopefully it won't take much longer. 😊You said you are in Canada 🇨🇦 try the chemist they might have something similar. Do you live there or on holiday.take care hope you feel better soon .x
