I have been on Lofepramine for just over 3 weeks and feel worse now than i did before. I only take 1 70mg tab before i go to bed. I cant sleep and when i do i get about 2 - 3 hours and have terrible nightmares, i have experienced dizziness and loss of balance and feel like crying for no reason at all for most of the day. I havent told anybody that im on them because that would mean explaining my whole sorry situation and that makes me cry even more. I dont really know what to do or where to go..... can anyonew help?

I have been on Lofepramine one 70mg morning and one at night for 3 weeks now. I only have 3 hours sleep at night as well. My worst side affect is a dry mouth and I have lost my appetite and am not able to hardly eat a thing. I know its bad cos im a true chocoholic and I cant even eat it. I am also crying alot. Im just not going to take them any more. I have long term problems and have seen councillors many times. The only advice I can give you is to talk it over with someone a best friend maybe. Why not try the Samaritians or another helpline. Some doctors surgerys have a councillor u can see. Dont bottle it up it eats away at you. Crying can help relieve the pain we feel. Take care

Lofepramine made me feel worse than ever. Crying constantly, panic attacks, very bad depression and suicidal thoughts. I think this medicine increases anxiety in some people as it works mostly on noradrenaline which is activating, giving you a flight or fight response. This medication is not good for those with agitated depression, but rather for those with lethargic depression. Bear in mind that they may not be the tablets for you. I had to stop them and I actually felt better when I did. I will try venlafaxine now, which works more on seretonin and hopefully will be better for anxiety.

my experience has been the same. Loss of appetite, crying. I've just come off seroxat onto these. I'd been on seroxat since......the year the lottery started, when ever that was. Its a great help to read other peoples experinces.

I seem to be feeling everything more? Slightest thing, good or bad and i'll start to cry. My tum has been upset, but i put that down to wheat? Lack of appetite.

I'm on 140 mgs a night. If i am woken after i've drifted off i find it v difficult to get back to sleep
