I have been on Sertraline for a good few week' now.

I had loads of side effects. I have had 💓 palpations, tremendous headaches behind my eyes. I am still getting this now over 2 months down the line. My mood was so low, I really felt suicidal. This suicidal feeling has passed now and I am feeling more up beat. The palpitations seem to be less frequent although I am still having them . I am not sure if I should persist with this medication or not!?
I am on 100mg a day. I used to take it at night, but since starting Sertraline my sleep pattern is not very good. I sleep less and am a wake more , so I am going to change taking it in the morning. ( My sleep was poor before this medication , I don't feel I can loss more sleep)
On a good note , I am able to lose weight as I don't have a massive appetite. Yay! So I would like to persevere, but don't like the headaches behind my eyes.

I started on 50 and worked my way up to 100. The side affects are terrible but i chose to continue because life before med was unbearable and also got a lot of advice from great people on this forum. My doctor gave me ativan for the rough times in the beginning. Now I'm feeling good. Talk to your doctor and let him know whats going on with you.

I will start my 50mg on Saturday and took the whole week off.
Does anyone know if I will be able to go to work after one week?
Thank you

Hi janemarie
I only started taking Sertraline today and was warned about possible headaches, so I've been drinking A LOT of water today in the hope that will help, and it's all good so far. I know with a lot of headaches, water can really help
I hope you're having a good day xx
