I have been on venlafaxine for 9 weeks

Help i was on clomipramine for 15 years which worked well 60mgs but over time it lstopped working for me so my psychiatrist switched me to venlafaxine xl 75mg . its now week 9 and only experienced a small effect after 6 weeks , then nothing. i even still get side effects still. i take it with lorazipam cause i am very fearful, i seem to cry alot.Am i wasting my time with this drug or do i go higher or switch to another drug. Anyone had this problem

    I would switch to something else if I were you. I was on 150mg Venlafaxine for 2 years and it didn't do much for me. I also found it too activating. It raised my resting heart rate and blood pressure considerably. Plus coming off of it was tricky and I can understand why a lot of people struggle to discontinue it.
