I have been suffering classical migraines since I was 16yrs old I don't suffer as many attacks as I used too. However the migraines I do take last's for 72 hrs and the pain drives me insane. I take Migraleve which really doesn't help anymore, I have had sanomigran, Imagran both tab and Injection forms and also Zomig, these no longer help either I always find myself going back to the Migraleve. I happened to notice that Propranolol can help relieve symptoms I was given that drug for bad panic attacks, my doctor does not agree with patients reading the information leaflets inside as he thinks that the side effects mentioned is a psychological matter and I was not aware this medication can help me. I am so grateful this information was available on the net so that sufferers like myself can get some relief. Thankyou Dee

I get what seems to be recognised now as Pure Menstrual Migraine and for me Imigran (Sumatriptan) has proved to be a wonder drug. Once I'm sure a migraine is on it's way and not just a normal headache (localised pain behind one eye; tiredness; general fuzziness) I take a tablet and within 20 minutes the symptoms have gone.

I agree that sometimes the leaflets inside are not helpful to patients and I an not surprised your GP does not agree with patients reading the leaflets inside the. Over the past while the Migraines that I would get have reduced.

Had a flare up just about a month ago, due to not being give the correct medication, while I was in hospital for some treatment for a chest infection.
