In the past several of months I symptoms have become almost constant. I have a severe attack that last for hours and then I spend the next week or more trying to deal with the after effects. Before I start to feel ok I have another attack. I can't do any thing any more I can't even play with my granddaughter. Any ideas

Wow sorry to hear. I would go see your Doctor or ENT specialists about how your attacked are becoming constant. I don't know what drugs you are taking but I am taking 24mg 2 times a day of Teva Betahistine. I still get vertigo but it is not nearly as bad as it was when I was off the drug. From what I heard it is a 50/50 chance that the drug works. It only reduces the severity of the vertigo and makes it more manageable.
Also if you are not already doing it. Drink lots of water ( no caffeine or alcohol) and really cut down on high salts and high sugar food. They wonk up the inner ear fluid levels and can trigger an attack.
It sounds pretty rough and like I said before I would go see a doctor to see if anything can help reduce the severity of the attacks.
Good luck and hope things get better soon.

There are quite a few different drugs you can try. I tried betahistine for a while and it did me no good. Then I had cinnarizine which seemed to work well but after about nine months I started to have side effects from it - shaking. I've tried it once or twice since but each time it makes me shake. I've been on viagra now for nearly a year and that is really good - 25mg at night which is a quarter of a 100mg tablet (which I buy online as it's not licensed for women to take which is ridiculous as it was first formulated for blood pressure and that's not the exclusive right for men), and now I also take Vitamin D and Chellated Manganese which I think help a lot. Good luck.
