I have been suffering since March 2016 with depression and anxiety and taken sertraline

I have been on these and found no help, I went back to doctor who said give them time but the suffering was terrible. I don't know if pushing myself got me through it or tablets actually started working and I felt myself again as my whole me had done a total opposite to what I used to be. . Unfortunately feeling better I started slowly cutting down on my med and bump back to my illness again. Have been taking normal dosage again as advised by doctor but feeling terrible again.

I am a terrible worrier but my symptoms came on with which I thought was tummy bug feeling so nauseated I was wretchin up to 12 times day and feeling nauseus for 10 hours a day this went on for months and after numerous tests which have all come back clear. I don't want anybody around me and don't want to get out of bed. The taste in my mouth is vile, nothing will move it. I have lost over 3 stone. Is anyone there to help

    Hi Karen,

How long have you been on the medication and what dosage were you feeling good at?

I just went through similar experience. I had been on sertraline for 5 years and felt great atc50mg. I started feeling fatigued, irritable at times and shoulder and neck pain. I tried increasing my dosage to 100mg and I got worse. I then lowered it back to my normal dose but was feeling nauseated a lot and started vomiting basically daily up to 6 times in a few hour period. Stopped the sertraline to see if that helped but the vomiting continued. Went to GI doc had bunch of test done and it needed up being my gallbladder. Had Gallbladder surgery about 1 month ago. Now my anxiety and such is back and I am trying to get back on meds and going through the start up mess. Tried Lexapro but felt like it was making me extremely depressed so just switched back to sertraline 3 days ago. Having increased anxiety, nausea etc. It may not have been my med in the first place. Anyway, you just Really reminded me of my current situation and it has been a rough 4 months. I was vomiting almost daily for about two months. I have lost over 40 pounds since April. What kind of test have you had done?

Hang in there. I am struggling too trying to get back to my happy place.
