Hi Joanne
If you have previously had lung surgery, I would be asking your GP for a referral back to specialising respiratory consultant.
If you are living in the UK* you can contact the British Lunch Foundation for further advice, help and support. Their website has lots of information about COPD, how to manage it and look after your lungs.
The other thing is to investigate with your doctor if you have been tested for Alpha1 Antitrypsin
If you have a diagnosis in writing request referral to a pulmonary rehabilitation education course, either in your local hospital or on line. Request a copy of all your test results.
If you reside in another part of the world other than UK approach the Lung foundation in the country you reside for further information and support on this matter.
Best wishes V
