I have booked an appointment for cervical screening

after several attempts and some pamphlets but the doctors don't have a wide selection of appointments to choose from but fortunately the doctors is near. It's hard to find a decent doctor near where I live and I don't know the nurse. I avoided this for a long time and at the last doctor I had she had to stop because it was painful as I suffer from anxiety as well. I'm worried about getting cancer.

    You need to have your smear, I left it for ages and just shoved the reminders in the bin, anyway my daughter persuaded me to go, turns out I had severe high grade abnormalities. I had to have a Lletz treatment under general anaesthetic, got the all clear a few weeks ago.
