I was diagnosed with Crohns in 2013 and had a bowel resection in 2013 due to a obstruction. I have constant diarrhoea up to 10 times a day apparently my Crohns is not active no one will listen to me. I don't even leave the house and can't go to work !! Does anyone know why I am like this ?

It's possible that the area you had resected is the bit that removes the acid/ fluid from the stool and consequently will cause you to have diarrhoea.

There's a powder called Colestyramine that can help with this but important to know if your symptoms are a direct result if your surgery.

Check with your consultant and find out more about the area that was removed.

Hope this is of some help

Hi I had exactly the same thing and have been prescribed sachets of questran and take one a day mixed in water. It's s bit like drinking watery wallpaper paste but it's given me my life back. Ok I still have the odd bad day but on the whole it's a great improvement . Go back to your consultant and ask about it. Good luck
