I have dilated cardiomyopathy and arial fibrilation, has anyone else the same diagnosis and what are their experiences

    My doctor & I have discovered that when my daily dosage of Amlodipine was increased to 10 mg from 5, about half of my blood readings did not indicate an irregular heat beat (IHB) on my meter. I also take 250 mcg./day of digoxine, 8 mg/day of doxazosin & 25 mg/day of chlorthalidone. Talk to your doctor about Amlodipine.

    Do get in touch with the Cardiomyopathy Association, a charity that provides information and support to people with cardiomyopathy. They have support nurses, information days, support groups and a network of affected volunteers who talk to others on the telephone and by email. So they could put you in touch with many others with cardiomyopathy and atrial fibrillation. They also have a website message board and a facebook page and group you can join.
