I have extremely severe headaches.

I have suffered from extremely severe headaches most of my life. I have seen many specialists over the years. many different diagnostics too. i have been on many different medications. both acute and preventive. while some preventive may have worked, on the acute side, only opioids seem to have worked. i have been very careful with these and have never been addicted to opioids. i have been able to somehow control the pain. in extreme situations, I have ended up in the emergency room for treatment as nothing would work. the last two years have been a real nightmare since physicians no longer want to prescribe opioids. I am currently struggling with some "new medications" which are no help at all . Has anyone faced this situation? i need all the help I can get please. Thanks.
