I went from 225 mg  with 3monthly drops. I got to 37.5 mg caps  great stuff I thought. But no go for me ..all the awfull side effects came flooding back. I tried to carry on but no luck. My GP lncreased me to 75MG. Then a 37.5 as well.   Today. I'm being put back on 150 mg caps. XL I feel that over the year of trying to come off this drug was a pipe dream. Any way good luck to you all if you are on or trying to come off venlafaxine.  Best wishes Michael

Michael, I'm so sorry you read this. My wife had a very difficult time coming off Venlafaxine XL 150 mg in 2013 after being on it for 12 years. It took her a year to be free of it. At 7 months she sort refuge in Sertraline 50 mg. Once you've got some relief from your increased dose, why don't you reduce it again? If at first you don't succeed ...

My wife is so much better for being off it. And I pray that you will find relief away from harmful drugs.

    With best wishes

    Graham

Thanks, Michael, it did work for me over two and a half years and only minor hiccups when withdrawing It sounds as if you have been 'messed around with' on mixing the doses I stayed on a steady 75mg but GP knows what is supposed to suit Maybe you will straighten out soon
