I have flashes in both of my eyes, is it migraine?

Our local opticians say it is nothing to worry about. It could be triggered by many things. However, I did have a bad headache the other day, lasting into the next day, and I never have headaches. I think it could be a migraine attack, although I've not had one of those before - just going on what my family say it could be. Still, it was good to have the optician to tell me I should not worry about the flashes, which occur quickly and often. I hope they just go away. I'll give it a week from now and if they are still there I'll go back to the optician and ask again. Has someone else had this problem? Just wondering...

This happened to me at work where I saw zig zag and wavy lines.

Went to the eye doctor who said it was an occular migraine.

    Nothing serious. Don't worry.
