I have had Cervical spondylosis for the past 8 to 10 years since i was 42 years old. It has got worse with age, I'm now 52 years old. It causes me chronic pain 24 hours a day and headaches and shoulder and back pain. I have carpel tunnel syndrome in both hands and surgery did not help at all as my neck is the cause of the carpel tunnel. I also have constant pain in my left hip and left knee and lower back pain. I have been told I suffer from Fybromyalgia as well. I cannot take anti-infammatories as they make me ill so I have to manage with co-dydramol and amitryptaline. I have splints to wear on my wrists to help with the pain but they are restrictive and I cannot work or drive in them. In the past I had some traction at the hospital which did help for a while. It seems that my GP and hospital doctors have the attitude that there is nothing they can do and I must 'put up with it' but I am sick of being in constant pain every day all day. I can't sit or lie in comfort or get any relief for more than a few minutes.

Hi, You are not alone if that helps. I have cevical spondylosis and Fybromyalgia and arthritis, also diverticular disease and have recently given in and stopped work. I also have discalcular syndrome which doesn't help with the brain fog. I think the most important thing is to keep a sense of humour albeit a pretty sick one. I have just had dental implants and had to lay with my mouth open for two hours having my jaw bone drilled and all I could think of was the pain in my back ! and wondering what to do about my legs. My cure for tonight is to drink too much red wine which will make me worse tomorrow but thats another day . Cheers !
