I have had fibromyalgia for some 60 years but was only diagnosed 23 years ago.

it all started when I had Asian flu in the 50’s. I’m 76 now. These last few years I have been struggling from the waist down, I also have a hole in my spine from a RTA many years ago.

tbe main problpain from the centre of my spine which radiates down my legs and wh I walk it’s like-walking through thick mud. The other problem  is my painful feet and I can hardly stand up at times.  I understand Fibro is not very nice to live with and there is no medicine that will help to ease the pain. I wonder if anyone has the same symptoms and what they have done to help rectify the problem. I could go on for hours on this topic but I do not want to be bore. Thank you for reading this and any advice would be much appreciated.

That sounds awful I feel ur pain, my fibro started when I was walking my dog on a rainy day threw fields and got bitten all over my legs from the knees down, so painful and swollen I was very poorly and when they eventually healed I started getting pain and abscesses all over my body was down hill from then and have struggled mentally and physically ever since but before that iv always been strong so it drives me crazy now constantly cancelling appointments if I'm on a bad day which is more often than now.

After 60 years of Fibro I do hope you treat yourself on a daily basis, as that is a long time to suffer from Fibro. Big hugs. We understand what you go through, but sadly have no really helpful advice. I think we should crown you as King of the Fibro group tho. Take care.
