I have had full body hives everyday for 7 years now.

My senior year of high school I started to develop hives on my body. It started when i would run for lacrosse, i would get the rash on my arms and stomach. Now no matter what i do, if i am sitting down, walking, laying down, playing video games, talking to someone i break out in this rash. I went to a few dermatologists and the first one said its scabies. I took the medication and nothing happened so i went back and he said it is heat rash. He told me to take Zyrtec everyday and to avoid getting hot. 7 years later i have to take 3 zyrtecs every single day, and the rash is only getting worse. Now if i do anything i break out on my face, stomach, arms, legs, back, neck everywhere. I am losing my hair because everyday is constant stress over if i am going to get a worse breakout today, or if i will be able to focus past my skin burning and itching. I have not worked out in 7 years because of how intense the rash gets. Has anyone else heard of this happening and is it supposed to get way worse.

Wow that sounds horrendous. I get hives when my adrenals are burnt out. Going to a dermatologist is pretty useless - it's not a problem of the skin, it's an internal issue. I would guess that your body is under stress, or your immune system is on over drive. Or it may well have something to do with your hormone levels so I would get those checked out.

I would have sworn blind that I was not stressed, but major stressful life events coupled with working out way too much meant that I was putting huge demands on my adrenal glands. I have been getting intermittent hives for the last 5 months and it sucks.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help - it could be a number of things but I would suggest doing a lot of your own research and looking into alternative practitioners. Mainstream medicine is pretty useless when it comes to root causes. All they want to do is medicate.

Is it just the rash or do you have other health issues going on? IBS or any other odd symptoms?

Mainly the rash, my doctor told me i had hyperthyroidism when i was 17. I went and got checked again a few weeks ago and my new doctor said i don't have it anymore. Other than that i have anxiety and insomnia.
