I have had chronic prostatitis for over 25 years and most recently I discovered that my prostate is also enlarged, around 70cc. I'm sure that it was much smaller than this 25 years ago. I have been on countless rounds of antibiotics to little avail. I have tried every possible alternative therapy to little avail.

I finally did a Holep procedure 4 weeks ago. I can definately say that my urine flow has improved significantly. However, my pain and frequency has not improved very much.

The doctor said I should give it at least 3 months to determine whether or not it worked for the pain and urgency.

I will post again in 2 months to update my status.

I've not had prostatitis since I had laser surgery on my 135 grm prostate in 2013 and my PSA came down from over 9 to 0.70

I had numerous urine infections and many A/B's, then they came up with Fosfomycin and it cleared it up, and now take one dose per week and have not had a problem .

i have similar issue but rather than pain at the tip of penis i have itching or mild burning. this started out of the blue about a year ago. like you, have tried tons of different stuff. nothing works. there seem to be some other post people having similar problem but nowhere i can find solution. i guess once they get better they dont bother to come back and post. good luck there.

    Have you tried tamsulosin?

It has the added benefit of increasing your flaccid hang too!
