I am so sorry you're in so much pain.  Have you tried acyclovir?  It works for me. I haven't had an outbreak since my third week of taking them. I have more stress in my life now than I ever have had and still nothing.  I have read about them befor I took them and some people had zero effectiveness. I am not sure if they gave up to soon or they just dont work for everyone.  Please triy it. and good luck

    Hi Connie..

So sorry after reading UR description it sounds painful. UR doc can help u with numbing topical gel.

Have u been diagnosed with skin samples taken from UR head. Shingles can have severe nerve pain. After I was diagnosed with shingles I was given the shingles vaccination which helps to lesson the intensity, severity and length of time .Have u asked UR dr if u could be a candidate for the vaccination?

My doc said its important to still receive the shingles vaccine..it is a way to add immunity to further outbreaks less frequent and serious.

When shingles occur on the head or scalp, symptoms can include headaches and weakness of one side of the face, which causes that side of the face to look droopy. The symptoms usually go away eventually, but it may take many months.

Some natural treatments may be effective in easing the pain and discomfort of shingles. These can be used in conjunction with medication, or you can use them alone while the virus runs its course. Put cool, moist washcloths on the rash. Do not use ice packs. Applying calamine lotion might also help.

You can use ACV directly on the blisters, dabbed on cotton wool and within 12 hours the blisters will look better. After 24 hours they will probably completely calming down. Do it every 3 hours. Along with anti Viral, antibiotics and pain killers, the blisters are less painful.

sounds awful! I'm not a doctor but I have auto-immune disease, no Vit D and low vit B. You must get onto Vit D supplements - it makes a huge difference. if you are really low you can take 10,000 units a day for a month to get the level up then drop it down to 3000 a day. Also get some lyseine pills and start taking them in large doses (ask the pharmacist) - if you cant swallow pills you can get Lyseine powder (also Vit D comes in liquid form too - get the high potency one). Lyseine helps with shingles. Vit D helps with pain, muscles, gut, immune, hormones.

i really hope these things help!
