I had the implant fitted 8 weeks ago and have had 6 weeks of that 8 having bleeding or spotting. The longest being the last 3 weeks and only just showing sihns of stopping but with spotting! Got really fed up and went to see dr. They have put me on a months course of oestrogen pill to hopefully give me a break and regulate me. He did give me that it should start to settle between 4 and 6 months but i dont know! Will let you know how i get on! The dr did say however that if its a major problem still sfter the pill, they would remove it. Has anyone had any similar experiences

I had implanon put in 6weeks after my little boy was born in April last year. I had heavy periods for 1 month following and then nothing really for 6 months which was great then in November last year my periods started again and they were constant. I was on my period more often than not 3 wks at a time usually and my mood swings have been terrible. I went to the doctor who put me on the mini pill along side my implant. This did not stop the bleeding. I had implanon removed yesterday so hopefully things will get back to normal
