I have hip and groin, headache, shoulderblade pain

Hi, I have groin stabbing pain, both hip pain, the pain is moving around my body its moved into my shoulder blades, I have had blood tests, everything came back ok, I have put my symptoms in the checker and fibromyalgia came up, has anyone got this syndrome that can give me advise.

    Unfortunately there's no real way of testing for Fibromylgia, blood tests don't generally show anything. Your CRP or ESR could be raised, but even having a cold could raise these! The only 'test' for Fibromyalgia is your doctors will press 18 points on your body and if 11 of these are tender, it would suggested Fibromyalgia, also if you've been very fatigued for over 3 months. Have you been very fatigued? If none of these ring true for you then it's unlikely you have Fibromyalgia, which I really hope you don't! You may need your doctor to run more tests to try to figure out what's causing your pain, I hope you can get some answers soon! Best of luck!

    Hello Dawn,

    it might be an idea to ask your GP to refer you to a Rheumatologist. Your GP is as their title states, a general practitioner and you really need to see someone who is qualified in musculoskeletal and rheumatic diseases. They will do all kinds of tests, scans etc to rule certain things out before diagnosing Fibro.Good luck x
